The most famous "evil lady" of Greek cinema, Tasso Kavadia, passed away on Saturday, aged 89.
She was born in Patras in 1921.
She graduated from the Art Theater School. Her first role was in "Our Town", by Thornton Wilder.
She remained in the Art Theater until 1958, with roles in famous plays by Pirandello, Tennessee Williams, Brecht and Lorca, among others.
She also took part in movies, appearing on the big screen, TV and radio plays, while she also took up journalism. In addition, she translated a multitude of literary and theatrical works.
Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, at 11 am, in the First Athens Cemetery.
