BoG: The capital needs of Greek banks stand at 6.38 billion euros
Greek banks will need additional capital of 6.38 billion euros, according to the Bank of Greece, in order to strengthen their own funds.

The smaller needs were determined for Alpha Bank and Piraeus Bank and already the management of Sallas’ group announced the issue of a bond, although the amount of 425 million euros is considered small for the size of the bank.

The largest capital needs were recorded for Eurobank, at approximately 3 billion euros and for National Bank at 2.2 billion euros.

The question that now arises is what will happen mainly with the National Bank, as officials have not yet determined the time the Tourkolias administration has to find the amount of 2.2 billion euros.
