Monthly 25% returns in the ASE!

What led to the domination of banks in Athens? The expected decisions on Monday for Greece or just the third Friday of the month when a series of derivatives expire?

The banking “party” was organized with the decisions to be taken on Greece as the backdrop, even if the foreign media report that German Minister Schauble opposes the bank bailouts of Greece and European banks.

Apart from the decisions, a series of derivatives expired today in Athens, so there was a reason for the banks’ party.

On the other hand, if we are close to an agreement om the loan and exchange, banks are naturally prepared for the next step, that of recapitalization. In other words, the stage is set for future capital increases.

The rise was recorded simultaneously on European stock exchanges, while the euro earlier rose by 0.22%, reaching $ 1.3153.

However, as we see from the figures a question arises as to why foreigners do not participate in a market that records a 25% rise in one month, just because some people are pushing us to exit the Eurozone and  return to the drachma, reiterating the dilemma at every opportunity.

The General Index reached 5% gains today, reaching 824.26 points, while intra-session it stood at 828 units.

The weekly earnings of the General index reached 3.37%, while the monthly returns are at 25%.

Profits of 16.03% for Alpha Bank, 22.22% for Eurobank and 14.23% for Piraeus Bank, while the National bank rose by 10.11%, reaching 2.94 euro. 8.16% for Mytilineos. The total value of transactions reached 94 million, ie it returned to the levels of growth of the previous year.
