Troika returns on Monday - The "strong hand" and the problems for the final agreement

The Greek government has the "strong hand" of the primary surplus - The pending reforms bring problems

The Greek government welcomes troika again on Monday with the aim of reaching an agreement before the next eurogroup on March 10 in order for the 10.6 billion euros to be disbursed.

The government has the "strong hand" of the primary surplus, with which it hopes to convince the auditors to backtrack on their excessive demands.

On the other hand, it has not progressed even one of the important reforms such as those in drugs, milk and books, as the responsible ministries of Development, Agriculture, Health and Culture have not come to an agreement.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has mandated for weeks the relevant ministers to find common positions to be more than ready for the negotiation with the troika, having to show progress on its requirements. But this was not possible and eventually the government will rely on the promotion of 80% of the reforms proposed by the OECD besides the primary surplus.

The latest statements by European officials who speak about the delays introduced by the Greek side in the final agreement with the troika indicate that the pressure from the other side will be suffocating.

Troika will meet tomorrow Monday with Yannis Stournaras and Development Minister Kostis Hadjidakis.
