Emma Delta: The acquisition of OPAP will be completed in September
I see no immediate or significant danger to delay or block the deal, a major shareholder told Reuters
In an interview in the Reuters news agency, the main shareholder of the Hellenic-Czech consortium Emma Delta gave assurances that the OPAP acquisition will be completed in September and will not be canceled because of disputes with the contract on the lotteries.
Emma Delta is ready to complete the acquisition of OPAP to which it agreed in May against 652 million euros, says Czech major shareholder Jiri Smejc and points out, «I do not see any direct or significant danger that might delay or block the deal."
Emma Delta remains concerned that the contract signed for OPAP lottery tickets before its privatization perhaps might damage the company. The contract will be thoroughly examined after the completion of the acquisition.
