Greece has some of the highest petrol prices in the world and now there is proof. According to a survey conducted by Bloomberg in 60 countries, petrol prices in Greece rank very close to the top of the list, in a period when wages and the earnings of consumers have significantly decreased.

As concerns the selling price of a liter, Greece occupies the sixth position in the relevant rankings, with Greeks spending 15% of their daily wages to buy a liter of petrol, and overall sacrificing 4.8% of their income to fill their tanks.
According to the report, Turkey seems to be the champion in expensive petrol. There, the average price of a liter of gasoline reaches 2 euros due to the relevant taxation.
