A political performance by Australia’s Back to Back theatre from 02.04.2014 to 05.04.2014
An imaginary encounter between the Indian elephant deity, Ganesh, and Adolf Hitler performed by one of the world's most special and idiosyncratic theatre team since all the members of Australia's Back to Back theatre are professional actors with disabilities.
The play describes the journey of deity Ganesh to Hitler's Germany in order to claim the Sanskrit ancient symbol swastika from Adolf Hitler.
"Did you come here to see a freak show?", they'll ask, provoking us to consider how pure our motives are, but also to realize what it means to be excluded from the norms of a society obsessed with beauty and sameness.
