Doctors sedated children without operating on them!

A major ethical issue concerning the conduct of three doctors at the children’s cardiology department of Paidon Hagia Sophia Children’s Hospital has been uncovered after Health Minister Andreas Loverdos’ revelation in Parliament.

As shown, the behavior of three physicians not only led to the shutting down of the clinic, but while it was in operation, shameful and outrageous scenes were taking place within its walls.

Specifically, the minister stated that the doctors of this clinic transferred their quarrels even to the operation room, so children would wake up from sedation without having had surgery. He added: “It is shameful… We shall discipline those responsible. If I were able to dismiss them, I would have done so”.

Note that as reported by protothema.gr, the ministry had ordered an investigation of the matter.
