Papoulias: They thought we were done for... Today they admire us

Greek President Karolos Papoulias visited Kassos today and expressed his content over the fact that Greece is in a stage of recovery following its exit to the markets, noting that this development is particularly positive and is attributable to Greeks and their efforts.
The President has also made a comment about the Greek-Turkish relations, stressing that Greece wishes and supports the European orientation of Turkey, provided that Ankara abandons its positions and aspirations to follow in the footsteps of the Ottoman Empire.
Papoulias visited Kassos to attend the launch of the national programme for the promotion of primary health care, which enables small islands' citizens to have medical exams at mobile units.
