The Greek government was clear and strong in its position on the issue of the antiracism bill after the meeting of political leaders. It also says they will not submit the antiracism bill and invited its partners "to find another solution."
Earlier, the PASOK and Democratic Left leaders invited the Prime Minister to accept the promotion of the legislation drawn up by the minister of Justice. Otherwise, Venizelos warned that PASOK will submit a draft law to tackle racist violence.
As Venizelos said ND must vote for this bill, for which PASOK insists to be filed immediately and voted for by all the powers of the constitutional arc.
Venizelos: Golden Dawn is a Nazi construct; its members are unsolicited bullies
Arguing in favor of the draft law, the PASOK president said the Nazi and racist acts should be addressed by the Greek state, and talked about a Nazi construct, making Nazi acts, consisting of self-appointed thugs who cannot substitute for legislation.
However, he also raised a broader issue on the operation and coordination of the Greek government, focusing on the need to update the programmatic agreement of the three government partners.

Kouvelis: Antiracism bill is an act of democracy, KENE reaction is unacceptable
Fotis Kouvelis said it is a memorandum obligation for Greece to bring the anti-racism bill in the House, which he called as an act of substantive democracy.
The DIMAR president described any delay in filing the antiracism legislation as unacceptable and openly disagreed with the findings of the Central Legislative Committee (KENE), which spoke of unconstitutional provisions in the draft law.
He added that Justice Minister Antonis Roupakiotis has the support of all political leaders.
