UPD:
While the country is sinking and struggling to escape bankruptcy, and while the pressures exercised on all the international forums are mounting, the leaders of 120 public sector divisions who must send data on their redundant staff seem to be living in another era, avoiding responsibility and “sending the ball flying out”.
Specifically, as protothema.gr is informed, many are the cases of delay or even refusal of data transmission, based on the grounds of understaffing in public sector divisions and the lack of existing redundancy options.
In particular today, on the final date of data submission, sources of the Finance Ministry mention that many agencies have not decided how to respond while the cases where excess staff is - according to management - non existent are not few and far apart.
A typical case is the refusal to send a list of peoples’ names on the part of EOMMEX, followed by other such examples as the Public Market Organization of Thessaloniki, Youth Foundations and others.
Several chairmen of entities are requestin an extension until Friday or even longer one, despite the urgent need for an immediate response to the Greek economy’s problem.
It should be noted that the president of the Public Corporation for the Construction of Medical Institutions, Costas Kapelonis, claims that his company is “understaffed”, while similar statements have been made by at least 20 bodies.

In any case, the government is willing to request the resignations of councils where no data has been sent, or to take unilateral action in order to consolidate and place people in reserve status.
