Today is the last date for polls in the mass media, since it is prohibited to broadcast or re-publish any poll, local or nation-wide, on political trends, views and preferences of public opinion and issues related to the elections 15 days before their commencement, which is today, 20/4/2012.
A poll by Kapa-Research for the newspaper "Ta Nea", shows that the majority of respondents favor a coalition government. It indicates that while 70.4% says that ND will be the top party, 59% is in favor of a coalition government against 28.6% who would prefer to see a majority government led by Antonis Samaras. Only 8.1% said "yes" to another round of elections in case of failure to form a majority government during the first round.
ND stands at 25.5%, PASOK 19.1%, KKE 10.6%, SYRIZA 9.1%, Independent Greeks 7.7%, Democratic Left 5.4%, Chrysi Avgi 5.2%, LAOS 4% , Democratic Alliance 3.8%, Ecologists-Greens 3.6% and Action 1.7%.
In another survey by Rass, ND is at 24.1%, PASOK 17.1%, SYRIZA 10.3%, Independent Greeks 9.4%, KKE 8.7%, Democratic Left 8.4%, Chrysi Avgi 4.3%, Ecologists-Greens 3.8%, LAOS 3.4%, Democratic Alliance 3.2%, Action by Stefanos Manos 2.2% and ANTARSYA 1.3%.
