Main opposition party, New Democracy (ND), leader Antonis Samaras sent
a message of hope on Monday that the country will overcome its difficulties, during a visit to the monastery of Panaghia Soumela in the Imathia prefecture, north-central Greece, where he attended a service for the Dormition of the Virgin religious holiday.
"The country is experiencing a difficult time but will manage to overcome the difficulties..." he stressed, adding that grumbling and fatalism does not suit the Greek people.
Samaras, accompanied by his wife, visited the Panaghia Soumela Monastery, named after the eponymous site on the Black Sea coast
