Georgia police officers rescue toddlers from 117°F car after their father left them inside for 40 minutes. On June 4, 2025, Cobb County Police officers heroically rescued two toddlers, ages one and two, from a swelteringly unbearable car in the Cumberland Mall parking lot, where the internal temperature reached a staggering 117 degrees Fahrenheit. The incident began when a vigilant shopper noticed the children sobbing in the backseat of a parked vehicle and promptly called 911, reporting the distressing scene outside Dick’s Sporting Goods. The windows were slightly cracked, but the lack of air conditioning left the children in severe distress after being trapped for approximately 41 minutes in 80-degree weather. The children’s father, J’Quawn Dixon of Snellville, returned to the vehicle about 30 minutes after the rescue and was immediately arrested. He faces two counts of second-degree cruelty to children, a felony charge, for causing cruel or excessive physical or mental pain. Dixon was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and released on a $10,000 bond, according to jail records. #police #cops #rescue #crime #policia #polizei #polizia #polizie
