Reacting to the government's announcement for layoffs in the public sector ADEDY organizes a rally in Klathmonos at 12:30 PM
Reacting to the government's announcement for layoffs in the public sector ADEDY organizes a rally in Klathmonos at 12:30 PM.
To facilitate participation in the rally a work stoppage has been declared in Attica from 12:00 PM until the end of shift.
The stoppage applies to workers in public services outside of Athens as well, as long the local prefectural ADEDY departments decide to organize respective rallies.
In its announcement ADEDY stresses that government decisions pave the way for creating “an industry of layoffs of civil servants” in the coming years, practically and definitively removing any permanence in violation of the substantive provisions of the Constitution of Greece.
