"Keep the two marches away from each other"

Code red for Police forces, as two protests are already under way. One in the memory of murdered 44-year-old Manolis, and another in Kotzia Square with rally participants protesting against for the savage beating of 30 year-old protester John Kafkas

“We have a complete plan so that the two protests will not meet at any point. There are powerful forces present everywhere, and we hope that everything goes well”, stated a high ranking Police official to protothema.gr, and added: “There is an imaginary red line which must not be crossed in any way by either protest march”…

Thus, one protest consisting of hundreds of people, among them members of the Golden Dawn organization who infiltrated the march wearing helmets, will move towards Kotzia Square without passing through Omonoia, while the other protest, if it takes place, will march towards Propylaea after 18:00.

Information indicates that at this time in the center of Athens, there are hundreds of police officers of all services who have been commanded to move discreetly, not to cause any violence or respond to any challenges.

Furthermore, there is a general alert throughout Attica, while aid will arrive from neighboring prefectures.
