UPD:
On Sunday, PM Antonis Samaras had a meeting with the economic team and the ministers involved in the memorandum at Maximos Mansion from 1 until 7 pm.
Labour issues were once again at the epicentre of the discussion. Labour minister Yannis Vroutsis, Finance minister Yannis Stournaras, Staikouras, Mavraganis, Administrative Reform minister Antonis Manitakis, Development minister Kostis Hatzidakis and Defence minister Panos Panagiotopoulos were all present at the meeting.
Vroutsis was the first to leave, stating that the government is on the right track towards a deal with the Troika.
The rest of the ministers followed without making any statements. Stournaras said the possibility of an agreement with the Troika on labour issues "will show in the next couple of days. We had a long coordination in order to be ready for the release of the tranche. As you know, there must be a multi-bill submitted with the prerequisites, along with the State budget, in order to be ready for the disbursement of the tranche around mid November."
Finance ministry does not confirm special Eurogroup info
According to sources cited in “Naftemporiki”, the Eurogroup president will seek a comprehensive solution for our country, covering the next tranche, the extension of the fiscal adjustment period and the funding of the extension, while there might be consideration of, and possibly a solution for the sustainability of the Greek State debt.
According to EU sources in Brussels, Juncker decided to accelerate the discussion by convening a special meeting next Friday to take advantage of the momentum that was created in favour of our country after the Summit.
The Finance ministry, however, does not confirm this information, and there are reports of two meetings of the Euro Working Group, next Friday October 26 and Monday 29th, ahead of the Eurogroup on November 12.
Concern about the attitude of MPs during the voting on the measures
The government seems concerned about the attitude of MPs during the voting to approve the measures. There is already some turmoil within PASOK and DIMAR, with MPs threatening to vote against the measures, while ND Fthiotida MP Nikos Stavrogiannakis announced that he will vote against them.
The government's wish is to close the deal with the Troika and ensure the adoption of measures in parliament, counting as few losses as possible or none at all. Another challenge is the rapid fulfillment of the structural changes that are the prerequisite actions the Troika has called for before the release of the tranche.
In an interview in the "Imerisia" newspaper on Saturday, Finance minister Stournaras seemed optimistic about the disbursement of the tranche, saying that Greece has reached 90% of the requirements in order to receive the 31.5 billion euros.
