Samaras blamed Tsipras for the dead-end, saying: “I made efforts to find a solution. I do not understand what SYRIZA want to achieve. They refuse to participate in the scheme or providie a vote of tolerance”.
Sources say the two had a hot debate during the meeting and Samaras accused Tsipras of not comprehending how critical the situation is. Tsipras answered that the former drove the country to the polls but has not realized yet what the people said, especially regarding the Memorandum.
Samaras left unanswered the question concerning possible upcoming elections.
