Total blackout in transportation on Wednesday

Passenger discomfort on Wednesday will be unimaginable, as all means of transport will remain docked (buses, trolleys, metro, tram, electric and suburban rail, and OSE).

Taxi owners will also strike for 48hrs, on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the decision by the syndicate of taxi drivers in Attica (SATA).

"The intolerance and indifference of the Transport Minister have neither limits nor an end. The dialogue and consultation have supposedly started already, but only on a verbal level. Their aim is to curb the fighting spirit of the sector, undermine the unity of our struggle and degrade the just cause of our industry, which is survival and not dismantling", the SATA statement reads .

Motorists are also planning on rallying outside the transportation ministry at 11:00 on Wednesday.
Regarding public transport, OASA had warned that if even one of the workers in the sector was included in the redundancy list, then the protests would turn to a 48hr strike on Tuesday and Wednesday.
