ND leader meets with EP president
Antonis Samaras, leader of the main opposition New Democracy (ND) party, met in Brussels on Wednesday with European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek.

met in Brussels on Wednesday with European Parliament President Jerzy
Buzek.
After the meeting, Samaras underlined that the European Parliament has a stronger role in issues related with the economic crisis, such as giving the go-ahead to EU leader decisions on economic governance in Europe.
Samaras stressed that “our continuous and close contact with the European Parliament is necessary”, adding that “Greece expects support as regards the Structural Funds, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the major European infrastructure projects.”
