Higher electricity bills, lower communal area bills

Increases of more than 11,6% will not be applied to those consume less than 800KWH, as stated today by DEI President Arthur Zervos at the press conference were the new bills were announced.

Mr.Zervos spoke of a decrease in bills since the common bills for blocks of flats will now have discounts. The decreases stand roughly at 6%. If this sounds absurd, it is explained mostly by the fact that the “big consumers” of DEI have discounts in their bills (especially for consumption of more than 3.000 KWH per semester, where the decrease is 9%).

The President of DEI asked that consumers apply for the discount service, which will create savings of 70 euros per year. He also declared there will not be any increases in bills for 2011.
