Thousands of families and state pensioners without Christmas bonus
Thousands of families and state pensioners without Christmas bonus
Settlement for branded businesses, after the intervention of the Labor Inspectorate
UPD:
There will be no Christmas bonus for about 5.000 families according to the complaints received by the Labor Inspectorate.
In reality, the number of employees who will face this kind of injustice will be doubled, with most cases appearing in the mainland, Evia, Epirus and western Macedonia.
210 employers that did not comply after the intervention of the inspectors, are now facing charges. Among the businesses that did reach a settlement were the construction site of Vovos for Panathinaikos football field, who in the end paid half of the bonus, and the Bodyline centres, which have not yet responded to their legal obligations.
The dividend-holding pensioners of the state did not receive a Christmas bonus either (250 euros on average). The management of the fund, which is in a financial dead-end and has proposed the elimination of bonuses and a dividend cut of 30%, officially maintains that they will not pay the bonus because ADEDY kept interrupting the meeting of the council.
But according to them the majority of MTPY management, along with the government, are eliminating the bonus, stating that there is no decision for its administration.
At ADEDY, they also stress that insured employees bear no responsibility for the state of the fund and the deficits. As they say, the plunder of the fund’s reserves by banks and the stock market, the modification of the employee - pensioner relationship and the burdening on the fund to cover income state policies, are to blame for this situation.
