Kirsten Dunst - Viggo Mortensen: On a guided tour in Acropolis and Knossos
"The Two Faces of January", a movie that was filmed in Athens, Crete and Istanbul had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, in the Berlinale Special Galas section. According to many critics, it is an impressive film that brings to the foreground the Parthenon and the narrow streets of Plaka as well as the archaeological site of Knossos.
The film is based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith, the author of the book "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and is directed by Hossein Amini, who said that with this film project he achieved "a lifelong ambition".

"Twenty five years, so more than half of my life. When I was a student at university up until now, wanting to get this book made into a film, it has been a long journey, but I think it has made it more worthwhile in a sense, because having to wait for something is great", said Hossein Amini.
The film is set 1962 and it follows a mysterious American couple (Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst) as they vacation in Athens. In reality, however, the man has travelled to the foreign country because he is wanted in his country for scams. The plot thickens when the couple meets a third person (Oscar Isaak) who is also a con artist.
In Greece, the film will be released in June.
