Military exercises are taking place in the Rostov region bordering the Ukraine, by Russian armed forces.
The announcement was made by a representative of the southern military command of the Russian Federation, while footage caught by Reuters shows convoys of military vehicles, jeeps, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled multi-rocket launchers and surface to air missile batteries moving in formation at a military airport.
