FinMin Yannis Stournaras restored the ammendment which provides for an extension for the period for which there are no sanctions on those who have to keep an emergency stock in specified petroleum products, until the 31st of March 2015.
It should be noted that earlier, Deputy Environment Minister Nikos Tagaras, in an ammended bill had removed the provision.
The intergovernmental back and forth caused the reaction of the opposition with SYRIZA denouncing the process and the substance of the arrangement, characterizing it as a “scandal in favour of petroleum companies”.
