Boeing 777 black box signals vanish
Searches have proven fruitless
Search parties for Malaysia Airline Boeing 777's wreckage have not yet found the source of the signals they seemed to have been receiving from the depths of the Indian Ocean.
Angus Houston, head of search and resuce operations of Australia, stated that the equipment of Ocean Shield ship could not pick up the positions of the two new signals that were received. The aforementioned signals were received for the first time, on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
The time-frame when the Boeing's black boxes can be found might have run out, sinec the battery life lasts for about a month, which is the same time that the airplane has gone missing.
“There has been no further contact with any signal and we must continue our search for several days, up to the point that there is no doubt that the batteries have run out”, stated Houston.
