Die Welt: Greece in fear of leftist terrorism
"Greece in fear of leftist terrorism," is the title of the new article of the German newspaper Die Welt, on the occasion of Christodoulos Xiros’ escape and the attack at the residence of the German ambassador.

According to the article, the neo-Nazi killings, the attack on the German embassy, the threats of new attacks and the escape of a known terrorist, show that a new terrorist space is being created in Greece.

Referring specifically to Xiros’ escape, the newspaper expresses fears that the "17th of November" can take action once again, perhaps along with the "Cores of Fire", an organization, as Die Welt says, that debuted amid the Greek crisis in 2008 with attacks and booby-trapped letters.

“In prison, Xiros allegedly had contacts with inmates of the “Cores of Fire”,” Die Welt says and points out that the terrorist attacks of "17th of November" claimed the lives of 23 people.

And the newspaper might be saying that since 2002 the terrorist organization was believed to be eliminated, as Hellenic Police had managed to dismantle it, however, it argues that Greek authorities are now talking about the creation of a new terrorist space and Minister Nikos Dendias about a terrorism problem.
