Classes until August 9 to save the semester
The Senate of the University of Athens decided to keep classes until August 9 in order to save the semester and each school of the Foundation will decide itself on how to fill the hours.

After the mess that prevailed for three months at the Kapodistrian University, the oldest Foundation fights to find its rhythm and save students from the gaps caused by the lost lesson hours.

But the Law School of Athens, as decided by a majority vote at a meeting of the directors and teachers, announced Wednesday that its own semester is lost for the first time in its history. The time for replenishment of courses until February is not sufficient, the teachers say and this is why they took this decision.

As the school’s administration decided, students will be taught two prerequisite courses in order to move forward in the educational process and the old courses will be examined in January. Also, the score of the Erasmus program will proceed as planned.

What remains to be clarified is whether the Law School will go along with the rest of the Athens University schools, on the instructions of the Senate, whose decision, however, is not binding.
