Greece - Germany: 20 bilateral research projects worth 10 million euros
Joint Declaration by Arvanitopoulos and Germany Education and Research Vice minister
Greek Education Minister Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos and Germany Vice Minister of Education and Research Thomas Rachel the announced bilateral funding of 20 research projects over the next two years with a budget of 10 million euros, 5 million euros from the German government and 5 from the Greek, utilizing NSRF funds.
In a joint statement after their meeting today the two men said that these research programs are aimed at partnership and synergy of SMEs, academic institutions and research centers in the fields of Energy, Health, Research, Technology, Nanotechnology, Information Technology and Communications.
"Germany and Greece have a solid and fruitful cooperation, particularly in the areas of education, research, technology and innovation," they said.
