Vroutsis: There is no question of reducing the minimum wage
"Τhe 13th and 14th will not be eliminated," the Labour Minister assured
There is no question of reducing the minimum wage until 2016, nor of eliminating the 13th and 14th salaries, Labour Minister Yannis Vroutsis reassured.
In a statement today at the morning show of ANT1 TV, Vroutsis said that "Greece made a very big reform. We moved to a new perception of the configuration of the minimum wage. We created a new mechanism along the lines of most European countries. This mechanism will operate from 01/01/2017 and until then there is no question of reducing the minimum wage."
Talking about the issue of the 13th and 14th salaries, the minister noted that "there is no question of further reducing the minimum wage, nor an issue with the 13th and 14th salaries. We must keep this because it is very important and involves hundreds of thousands of people employed in the private sector."
