The daughter of the arrestee Akis Tsochatzopoulos, Areti, has issued a
statement giving details on the items seized by the authorities during the search in the house she lives in.
"Following yesterday's reports in electronic media and today's press reports about the alleged discovery of a 'treasure' of gold bullion bars and gold pounds in my mother's house, where I live as a guest, I declare that the seized objects by the prosecutor were:
a) Ten (10) gold bullion bars of 99grm each and of a total worth of 29,000 euros, while
b) the golden pounds were nine (9), issued in 1935 and are an heirloom I inherited from my grandfather."
