Urgent meeting of PASOK’s political council

The political council of PASOK will have an urgent meeting tonight at around 10pm, after the dramatic developments resulting from the lack of agreement during the meeting of political leaders who support Papademos’ government.

The PASOK president wants to inform the members about the situation and hear their views in view of tomorrow's meeting of the leaders with the PM.

The members of PASOK’s political council were alerted shortly after 17.00 to be in Athens because there may be an urgent meeting of the leading body of PASOK once the meeting of the political leaders ends.

This development comes as a result of information about the reactions that have arisen, mainly on the part of ND, regarding the conditions set by the Troika for the signing of the new loan agreement.

As protothema.gr reported, a strong climate of concern has been emerging from ND during the last few days as to the progress of negotiations between the government and our lenders.
