Twitter has become the “must” medium for all people to communicate,
including the Greek premier George Papandreou, who expressed his doubts
through a tweet of his, saying he finds it quite improbable for the
Sunday Brussels Summit participants to reach any decisions.
Nevertheless, hours before leaving for Brussels himself, he made it clear that there will five strategy axes which he will follow at the Summit.
1. First and foremost, he wishes that Greece remain in the Eurozone.
2. What the government basically wants is to secure all the positive aspects of the July 21st agreement and thus acquire a new support package which will safeguard the lending needs of the country for the years to come, relathe time limits of its settlement and set low interest rates.
3. The leadership is seeking ways to unburden the Greeks from the tax loads that have been piling up endlessly.
4. Market liquidity and normality.

5. Focus on European and Greek development simultaneously, always according to the decisions of last July.
Speaking at the latest cabinet meeting, a few hours before the vote in parliament last Thursday, Papandreou said that “no problem will be solved if Europe itself won’t make any serious decisions on the crisis which, at the moment tends to become a European issue.”
On Saturday afternoon the Greek premier will meet the president of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and on Sunday morning, before the Summit kicks off, he will take part in the meeting of state leaders who are to meet the President of the EU Council.
