UPD:
""The political parties have not told the truth to the people. For a year now we have not been promoting the necessary changes. Instead, we have been distorting, and politically and morally undermining the citizens’ efforts. This can’t go on. If we do not make it we will starve. We have one last chance to get out of this dead end if we want to avoid the responsibility for bankruptcy and dissolution", said the chairman of SEV, Dimitris Daskalopoulos, just before a press conference for the "Development Map".
To a journalist's question on the reduction of staff in the public sector, Daskalopoulos replied that the private sector is already paying for the crisis with thousands of shutdowns and 200.000 unemployed, and stated emphatically that it can not bear the burden of useless entities, organizations and customer relationships of political parties.
He stressed the need to remove the fear of bankruptcy because there is ample room for development in the country and that the private sector should be cut off from the known relationship with the government through subsidies and grants; it will have ''to cut off the umbilical cord with the State and come out on international markets, where it can be competitive''.
Within this month and in a detailed manner, SEV will present this study which relates to all sectors of the economy – public and private – and has involved all productive entities. This would lead to a clear conclusion on the transition to a new model of entrepreneurship and identify the business opportunities in our country.
