A fight on two fronts hinges upon… a fever
The PM’s program is still hanging by a thread due to a fever probably the result of the recent Helsinki trip.

Within this week, Papandreou had decided to send specific messages about the major current issues and the government's efforts, but it is not known whether he will have time to call a cabinet meeting.

However, for Wednesday 2pm there is the meeting of the political council of PASOK and for Friday 10am that of the national council.

Probably on March 10, the day before the crucial emergency meeting of leaders of Eurozone countries, the PM will visit the French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris, in an effort to pave the way for a positive decision by the Europeans as to the Greek economic problem.

The PM, however, seeks to intensify the government's efforts to remove any impression abroad that the implementation of commitments is being delayed. He also wants to give the impression that he absolutely controls the internal game, both in the political and social aspects.

At the same time, seeing that we need a two-front fight, he wants to exploit the concerns of Europeans about the fact that if they do not address the Greek problem, it might cause further tremors for the euro. This is why he is expecting the emergence of certain forces in favour of our country by March 25, which will produce positive messages as many, even within the German political leadership and public opinion, view the Greek issue favourably.
