Rain, storms and snow on the mountains

Worsening of the weather with rain, storms and stormy southern winds, is expected for Friday February 18 throughout the country, while snow might fall on the mountains.

In Attica we expect some cloud which will gradually increase, while rain and sporadic storms will occur in the afternoon and will intensify in the night. The winds in Saronikos will be south at 4-6   B, locally 7, and the temperature will range between 10-19C.

In Thessaloniki, overcast skies and local rain will occur in the early morning hours, which will intensify around noon and will turn to storms. The winds in Thermaikos will be southeastern at 5-6B and locally 7 and the temperature will not exceed 14C.

The Ionian isnlads, Epirus, the western mainland and West Peloponnisos will have cloud and towards noon, local rain that will gradually turn into storms. Temporary snowfall is expected on the mountains of Epirus.

Cloud and local rain are expected in the Cyclades and Crete, which will gradually intensify and turn to sporadic storms, mainly in the Cyclades. Tomorrow night the weather phenomena will be quite strong locally.
