Κυκλοφόρησαν οι πρώτες αντιδράσεις για την πολυαναμενόμενη ταινία «Dune: Part 2».
Το σίκουελ του σκηνοθέτη Ντενί Βιλνέβ συνεχίζει την ιστορία από το ομώνυμο βιβλίο του συγγραφέα Φρανκ Χέρμπερτ με τις πρώτες αντιδράσεις να είναι εξαιρετικά ενθουσιώδεις. Πολλοί μάλιστα χαρακτήρισαν την ταινία ένα αριστούργημα του κινηματογράφου που είναι καλύτερο ακόμα και από το πρώτο φιλμ.
Το δεύτερο μέρος συνεχίζει αμέσως μετά το πρώτο μέρος, καθώς ο Πολ Ατρείδης του Τίμοθι Σάλαμε ενώνει τις δυνάμεις του με τους Φρίμεν και επιδιώκει να εκδικηθεί τους εχθρούς που δολοφόνησαν την οικογένειά του, σώζοντας ενδεχομένως το σύμπαν στην πορεία.
Η ταινία είχε αρχικά προγραμματιστεί να κυκλοφορήσει τον Νοέμβριο του 2023, αλλά λόγω της απεργίας των ηθοποιών, η Warner Bros. και η Legendary επέλεξαν να την μεταθέσουν για τον Μάρτιο του 2024, έτσι ώστε το καστ των σταρ, στο οποίο περιλαμβάνονται επίσης οι Ζεντάγια, Όστιν Μπάτλερ και Φλόρενς Πιου, να μπορέσει να την προωθήσει.
Το «Dune 2» αντιμετωπίζεται ως «σωτήρας» του box office μετά από έναν αργό χειμώνα στις κινηματογραφικές αίθουσες. Η κυκλοφορία της συνέχειας είναι η πρώτη από τις πολλές αναμενόμενες ταινίες που κυκλοφορούν τον Μάρτιο, όπως το «Kung Fu Panda 4», τα «Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire» και «Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire».

Blown away by #DunePartTwo. Found it even more immersive, tactile and emotional than Part One. The clarity, heft and scale of the action is staggering. For me, the whole occupies a rarified place alongside The Lord of the Rings as the definitive version of a seminal text.
#DunePartTwo is an audio/visual triumph on par with (relatively speaking) 'John Wick 4' or 'Avatar 2'.
