Colin Mackay is a superb journalist, perhaps the sharpest broadcast interviewer in Scotland. Am not entirely sure that Sunak was prepared for this… pic.twitter.com/Gwsg6RwvYH

Watch STV's political editor Colin Mackay reduce Rishi Sunak to a stuttering wreck in 20 seconds. Mackay exposes Sunak as a babbling political lightweight. The "Neh, neh, neh" at the end is pure gold. Please share folks. #SunakNehNehNeh pic.twitter.com/Q9G8GsoCB6

Mr Sunak comes to Scotchland expecting a welcome from the Brigadoon Bumpkins. Instead he gets the kind of roasting the press never seem to give him at Westminster. Hats off to Colin Mackay! https://t.co/9AlbUMVYFb

Just been watching @STVNews and, whilst I am no fan of Sunak, I was gobsmacked by how disrespectful @stvcolin Colin Mackay was to him, to the point of rudeness. Interesting how he has never been anywhere near as robust when interviewing the First Minister, she gets off lightly.

Take a bow, Colin Mackay; Sunak was grilled like a turkey melt.

Probing and persistence like this should be the norm, not a rare exception. Too bad key (client) journalists in London are content to feed their viewers 'soundbite TV' from politicians. https://t.co/3HJezhKWFS
