The country is paralysed today due to the general strike by GSEE and ADEDY, who express their opposition to the new contracts, wage cuts and high prices.

Buses and trolleys will operate from 9am to 9pm, Metro and Electric Railway from 10am to 6pm, in order to transport workers to the center of Athens.
OSE and Suburban trains will remain non-operational, while taxi drivers have decided to participate by means of a 4hr strike from 10am to 2pm.

On Thursday, unions in public transport will have a new 24hr strike, which means that workers will have to seek alternative ways of transportation to get to work.
On the same day, OSE and Suburban trains will again remain non-operational since the Pan-Hellenic Rail Workers Union has announced a 24hr strike.
Ships will remain docked
No ship routes for today since PSF (Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation) has decided on a 2-4hr strike. Same decision applies to the dockers as OM.Y.L.E. has decided to extend their strike to all their ports.
Problems with flights
No flights will be carried out today due to the participation of air traffic controllers in the general strike.
According to the decision of their board, their 24-hr strike will be effective from 00:01 Wednesday until 24:00 of the same day.
Hospitals with security staff
Only emergencies will be admitted to public hospitals, as doctors will take part in the strike of GSEE and ADEDY. IKA clinics have been functioning with security staff since Monday, as the doctors are on 48-hr strikes, on 13-14 and 16-17 of December. Meanwhile, IKA staff are expected to take part on the December 15 strikes.
Bank workers on strike
Banks will remain closed too, as employees have announced a 48-hr strike for Tuesday and Wednesday, accusing the government for the multi-bill, which affects the core of the existence of the trade union movement, delivering a severe blow to collective agreements and the fundamental rights of workers.
The Federation of Bankworkers of Greece (OTOE) has programmed a rally for 11:00am today at Pedion Areos.
GENOP-DEI ready to fight
Workers of GENOP-DEI are also taking part; however, for customer service purposes and in order to restore the electricity network after the problems caused by bad weather, the necessary technical staff is excluded.
Courts are closed too
Courts will also remain closed today as ODYE is taking part in the ADEDY strike.
