Don’t go to hospital, come to us!
A little short of 48 hours after the announcement of the new schedule for hospitals that will run 24/7, private doctors are lashing out against the new rules, obviously after considering the amount of clientele they will be losing –and all that comes with it, which is usually income not declared to the tax office.

In a caustic press release, private doctors are attacking the head of the Ministry of Health for the decision to sign the measure that came into effect on December 1st.
In their statement, they claim that the National Health System will collapse if this measure is implemented and the doctors will not be able to do their job. In the same announcemen,t they threatenwith legal action in order to demand the abolition of the new measure.
Private doctors claim that hospitals will become “Health Supermarkets” and that this will cause financial losses for the Governement, since services outside the public health sector which cost 20 euros will now be charged to hospital visitors at around 90 euros.
However, the prices mentioned are not accurate since they are the top estimates of very expensive health services.
