Acceleration for social invoice

As we get closer to December 15th and as we hear from government sources that there won’t be an extension, the application rate of PPC consumers who want to enter the so-called Social Domestic Invoice is increasing. 

There are more than 4,000 applications per day, when only two weeks ago this number was 50% lower, which brings the total number of applications to almost 70,000.

The difference is evident in relation to the evidence given just last week, at the Conference of the Institute of Energy for South East Europe, by the vice minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Mr. Yannis Maniatis, who mentioned 40,000 applications up until then.

However, even with the acceleration, the numbers are very small, if one considers that ministry and PPC estimations are talking about 1,2mil beneficiaries of this Invoice, which equals deductions of 10% to 20% in relation to current PPC invoices, and even bigger ones compared to the increased invoices for next year.

And the last thing the PPC related authorities would like to see, is the confirmation of the rule of the last-minute Greek…

And we must not forget that the Social Domestic Invoice can include customerswith usage lower than 800 kw/h per 4 months, as long as their income is below the tax-free limit, and provided that theirs is a primary residence. Vulnerable social groups can also enter the program.
