Doukas and Tsitouridis facing the preliminary inquiry board
The report of Parliament’s investigative commission into the government bonds scandal, indicates that there has to be a preliminary inquiry board which will look into the actions undertaken by Mr. Doukas and Mr. Tsitouridis.
According to sources, PASOK is suggesting that Mr. Doukas and Mr. Tsitouridis be indicted, while it also blames former Minister of Economics Mr. Alogoskoufis and former Minister of Defence Mr. Meimarakis.

The Greek Communist Party (KKE) is placing blame on both the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Employment, demanding the formation of a preliminary inquiry board on the two members of the previous government.

SYRIZA (Coalition of the Radical Left Wing), is agreeing on the need for more investigation into the actions of both aforementioned politicians and focuses on blaming Mr. Alogoskoufis and Mr. Meimarakis, as well as former Ministers of Justice Mr. Papaligouras and Mr. Hatzigakis.

LAOS (Popular Orthodox Alert- Right Wing) mentions the issue of ascribing responsibility and only sets questions pertaining to the actions of Mr. Doukas. Avoiding to respond directly to allegations of legal liability of former Vice Minister of Finance that would otherwise justify investigation, the party is willing to indict the politician to the level of the preliminary inquiry board.

The independent parliament member Mr. Nikos Tsoukalis, who is now part of the Democratic Left Wing, has stated that both Mr. Doukas and Mr. Tsitouridis must be investigated.

It is worthy of note that the report of the investigative commission will be presented to Parliament President Mr. Filippos Petsalnikos tomorrow. To form a preliminary inquiry board there has to be a relevant submission by at least 30 parliament members. If that happens, there has to be a proposition submission to Parliament and last but not least, Parliament members will be called upon to vote if they are for or against the formation of such a board.
