Kerry worried over Russian troop movements
A telephone call between John Kerry and Sergei Lavrov took place today
U.S. Foreign Minister John Kerry expressed his concerns on the provocative moves of Russian forces on Saturday, along the Ukrainian borders, during a telephone conversation he had with Sergei Lavrov.
According to the State Department, Mr. Kerry expressed his concern on the movement, the Russian support towards separatists, the inflammatory Russian rhetoric that undermines the stability, security and unity of the Ukraine.
Kerry also called for the "unconditional support of Moscow towards the efforts of the OSCE and the Ukrainian government to free the 13 observers held hostage by pro-Russian separatists in Slaviansk in eastern Ukraine.
Finally, Kerry also called on Russia "to publicly support Ukrainian efforts than to denigrate them".
