For twenty whole years, tax consultant Stergios P. Theodorides has been collecting postcards, documents and photos - His rare collection is presented in the exhibition "Pontus Euxinus, Memories from the Greek communities 1890-1920"

These are some of the images presented through photos in the new exhibition at the Benaki Museum entitled "Pontus Euxinus, Memories from the Greek communities 1890-1920".
Thanks to collector - tax consultant by profession - Stergios P. Theodorides, who has been collecting for 20 years postcards, documents and pictures, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a rare collection, which is considered one of the most comprehensive collections of its kind not only in Greece but also in neighboring Turkey.
The visitors mentally travel to the Black Sea region in the period 1890-1920 and witnesses scenes from the everyday life, communication, education, culture, religious life and commerce of the Pontic Greeks.
The exhibition is divided into eight sections. The first four present photographs of the major cities in the area: Trabzon, Samsun, Giresun and also images of smaller towns like Erzurum, Amasya, Sinop, Kotyora, Inepolis etc.
The exhibition will run until May 25, at Benaki Museum - Main Building, 1 Koumbari Street, Kolonaki, Athens
