Germany: Eurosceptics react to more aid for Greece
They insist that the country is a "Bottomless pit"
The confirmation of a primary surplus by Eurostat may open the way for Greek debt relief, as European partners have committed to Athens, but this debate seems to encounter many obstacles in its way.
Characteristically, a resolution calling the German Federal Parliament not to approve new stimulus packages or credit time for Greece will be deposited today by Euro-sceptic party "Alternative for Germany" (AfD).
The resolution, which was circulated electronically, is expected to bring at least 30,464 signatures to the table.
Within the test, the organizers ask that "the Federal Parliament to decide that public funds will not further help Greece with loans, aid packages of time credits", and particularly reject a third aid package for Greece.
It is asked by the government to disclose existing studies and forecasts which examine a possible exit of Greece or other countries from the eurozone.
Justifying the request, the AfD has analyzed financial data from Greece, noting the public debt, the loans received and the debt "haircut". It even mentioned the shrinking of Greek GDP and high unemployment rates, particularly amongst the youth.
