Venizelos: Papandreou has major unfinished business with PASOK
Statements, which probably refer to the economic problem of the party
Government vice president and PASOK president Evangelos Venizelos spoke against Giorgos Papandreou upon exiting the Maximos Mansion, where he had a meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras.
Asked to comment on the attitude of Papandreou he said "he has unbreakable ties and major unfinished business with PASOK," obviously implying the economic problem of the party. He refused to comment further on the attitude of the former Prime Minister and referred to his last night's statement.
Regarding his meeting with Samaras, Venizelos said that they talked about the issues arising after the enactment of the multi-bill, because to a message has to be sent to the Greek economy and society that the country has turned a page.
He also said that the government's priorities are the financing of business and the mobilization of banks so they could help businesses so that businesses in their turn help their employees.
Venizelos said they prepared the informal Eurogroup and Ecofin meeting tomorrow in view of Greece’s return to the markets.
He estimated that the passing of the multi-bill last night confirmed the political stability, adding that he honors the attitude of the parliamentary group of PASOK.
