IMF: Concern over the delays in structural reforms
No comment from the representative of the Fund on the issue of the capital needs of Greek banks - Let’s hope this is the last assessment, Rice said
IMF spokesman Gerry Rice expressed his hope that the current visit of the troika be the last in this phase of the assessment.
As for duration, Rice said it is expected to last no more than two weeks.
Speaking about the pending issues he said they relate to the budgetary and fiscal fronts, but added that there are some concerns for the delays in the structural reforms.
Asked about the recent issue about the assessment of the amount of capital needs of Greek banks, the IMF spokesman declined to take a position saying he did not want to make any comment regarding the capital needs and the article by FT. "I cannot comment because it is one of the issues currently being discussed with the Greek authorities."
