Turkish corvette reached the Cyclades

The Turkish armed forces proceeded today to yet another provocation. The Turkish corvette Bandirma was moving from north to south and early Tuesday morning passed from the Strait of Kafirea almost circumnavigating the four Greek islands of Evia, Kea, Kythnos and Andros. From 06.25 am that it entered in the Greek territorial sea until 09.50 when it came out of Greek territorial waters the Turkish corvette approached the coast of the Greek islands, moving very close to Kea, Kythnos and other islands.
 
The movements of Bandirma do not leave the slightest doubt about the aggressive mood of the Turks. Not even as a joke can one speak about a supposedly innocent passage as the Turkish corvette sailed between the Greek islands at a very low speed.
 
The very serious provocative act has caused some concern at the Greek Ministry of National Defence. Additional questions are posed by the fact that the violation of Greek territorial waters and the circumnavigation of the Greek islands by Bandirma took place while the president of Cyprus and the Turkish-Cypriots leader are meeting in order to formalize the beginning of a new round of direct negotiations aimed at resolving the Cypriot issue.
