Schaeuble: «Greece deserves our respect for its successes»
Greece deserves respect for its successes because against the estimations the Eurozone did notcollapse, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said in an article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, arguing that Greece had the most problems to solve –with a great distance from the other countries- but the last year and a half the country has fulfilled its obligations, better than expected in the second aid program.

"The growth figures are better than assumed, and the reduction of the State deficit hsd occurred faster than expected," Schaeuble said, adding "whoever does not show even a little respect in this performance, they do not poses the potential for an adequate and objective consideration of the situation."

The German Finance Minister expressed his confidence that Europe will continue to play an important role in the future only if the Europeans cooperate.

"Anyone who believes that we could draw a profit if we gotten rid of some weight in Europe, have not realized that in today's world such consideration is myopic," Schaeuble noted, pointing out that we can achieve lasting and sustainable development if we manage to further promote the European completion.
