The amendment to suspend the state funding of the Golden Dawn will be discussed this afternoon in the Greek Parliament.

The amendment is included in an Environment Ministry bill for Renewable Energy.

The process will take place in two sessions with the second and most important - since it will contain the discussion for the amendment in question – taking place this coming Thursday. It should be noted that a corresponding setting on the suspension of state funding, has been filed by SYRIZA as well.

The main difference between the proposal by the Greek government and the one from the opposition lies in the offense of "terrorist acts" included in the first one, so that a political party gets punished when its important members are involved in terrorist acts other than participating in a criminal organization.

According to the parliamentary programming, the plenary will vote next Wednesday to lift the parliamentary immunity of George Germenis, Panagiotis Iliopoulos and Stathis Boukouras, following a request by the investigators in order to charge them for participating and managing a criminal organization.
